Lateerah Andrews

Personal Biography

Lateerah Andrews, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, is a double board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience treating both acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Delaware State University, her Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and completed a post-master's certification in Psychiatry and Mental Health from the University of Cincinnati.

Lateerah's clinical foundation was shaped by years of managing chronic pain and substance use disorders, two deeply interconnected areas that reinforced her understanding of the relationship between physical and emotional health. This experience drove her to pursue advanced psychiatric training and commit her practice to bridging the gap between mind and body. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and co-occurring conditions, drawing on a care model rooted in evidence-based practice and an integrative, personalized approach.

Lateerah's combination of broad clinical expertise, advanced psychiatric training, and a genuine commitment to compassionate care makes her a strong addition to the Positive Steps team as Medical Director. She is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where every patient feels seen, empowered, and free from stigma as they work toward healing.
